FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I use the C-Stick skinny water anchor system?

A: There are 2 ways to use the C-Stick. 1) Loop 1 nylon strap to each tie down eye on the stern of your boat. Also, you can attach the nylon straps to the legs of your poling platform. 2) Loop the nylon straps together to make a 32" strap and secure to your cleat.

When your boat is stopped and you are ready to anchor, place the point of the C-Stick through the open loop and push the C-Stick down into the bottom. You should drive the pin 1' to 2' into the bottom to provide ample holding power.

You can leave the straps on your stern eyes indefinitely. They will not interfere with your prop while running or idling.

Q: Can I use dock lines to attach my C-Stick to my boat.

A: You can use a dock line with the C-Stick if the nylon straps are not suitable for your application.

Q: How deep do I have to set the C-Stick?

A: That will vary due to the bottom conditions. About 1' in sand and about 2' in mud. However, the deeper the better.

Q: Does the C-Stick float?

A: No. Our anchor pins are made of solid fiberglass and reinforced polyester resin. However, you can attach a 10" length of a swim noodle to make your C-Stick float.

Q: How do I store it?

A: The anchor pin is approximately the same size as your average fishing pole and can be stored in the same manner. Under gunnel rod racks provide an excellent location for storage.

Q: How does it hold?

A: It holds mostly due to the flex of the C-Stick, absorbing the pressure created from your boat due to currents and/or winds.

Q: Why doesn't it break?

A: The C-Stick is made of solid fiberglass and reinforced polyester resin creating a tensile strength of thirty two thousand pounds. If enough pressure is applied, it will pull out before ever coming close to breaking.

Q: How big of a boat will the C-Stick anchor pin hold?

A: The recommended boat size is up to a 20 ft. boat for a 5/8" C-Stick and up to a 24 ft. boat for the 3/4" C-Stick.

The C-Stick is not meant to be a permanent anchoring device. It will not replace your regular anchor and rope and it is not a USCG approved anchoring  device. However, if you are an avid fisherman, fishing the flats, rivers, streams and even the lakes in up to 8' of water, you can be assured of faster, quieter and stronger anchoring with the C-Stick skinny water anchoring system.

We expect that under normal use the C-Stick will last a lifetime.

Q: What is the warranty on the C-Stick?

A: Limited Lifetime Warranty: Warranty
